is a particularly durable premium quality with very good mechanical and chemical resistance. The print is resistant to temperatures up to 250° with simultaneous mechanical stress. This means that the T 847 Sw thermal transfer ribbon achieves the highest value of the qualities in our product range.

On flat-head printers it prints in excellent quality and finest resolution, but only on smooth surfaces, i.e. plastic materials. Here it is very flexible and prints even on difficult films such as polycarbonate. Because of its low sensitivity, it requires a high printing energy but is more sensitive than other highly resistant resin qualities.

The print is characterised by very good mechanical resistance and cannot be damaged by smearing, scratching or erasing, nor can it be removed from the printed material with adhesive tape. It is highly resistant to almost all test chemicals, with the exception of organic solvents and petrol. The printed label cannot be smeared at temperatures of 250°C and is therefore extremely heat resistant.

Type plates and permanent markings in industry and laboratories that are subject to heavy use over many years are the application for this quality. It is also used in hospitals and the medical sector – where the safety of the marking is paramount.

With its BS5609 (seawater resistance) and UL certification on certain label materials, the quality can be used for chemical and electrical equipment labelling where long life and secure traceability are very important.

We manufacture thermal transfer ribbons of this quality to order in every possible dimension and design to measure!
For an optimal use of material and the best price, the jumbo roll width should be used completely. The minimum quantity for a made-to-measure order is 200m².

Shelf life and storage conditions

"In principle termal transfer ribbons have a long shelf live. We guarantee that, if stored correctly ( temperature: 5 - 35 °C, relative humidity: 30 - 80 % ) our ribbons remain in perfect condition for use for 1 year from delivery."
