Hülsen für Thermotransfer-Rollen bestehen in der Regel aus Pappe und sind meist in den Größen 1 Zoll oder 1/2 Zoll erhältlich. Zusätzlich kommen auch Kunststoffhülsen zum Einsatz, sowie Sonderhülsen mit speziellen Führungen oder Einkerbungen für besondere Anwendungen, wie beispielsweise beim Kartendrucker.
